A Quick Guide on Air Compressor Units

A Vanair compressor

Does your business need an air compressor, but you’re not sure where to start?

Here’s a quick guide on air compressor units to help you better evaluate your compressor needs.

➡️  CFM = Cubic feet per minute. This is how we measure airflow most commonly. A high CFM means it can handle bigger jobs

➡️  SCFM = Standard cubic feet per minute. This is the airflow rate through a compressor at a “standard” atmospheric temperature and pressure condition.

➡️  PSI = Pounds per square inch. This is how much air pressure is delivered by the air compressor.
