Chamco Provides Firewater Protection for Major Power Project
Chamco is thrilled to be awarded the firewater protection system for a 900 MW combined cycle power generation facility being constructed in Yellowhead County.
This power plant will have the capacity to supply over 8% of the province’s average electricity demand. The facility will utilize modern, highly efficient industrial turbines fueled by natural gas and operations are expected to commence in 2023.
We are proud to be involved in a major project that will help lead the transition to a lower carbon-intensive power grid in Alberta and create a significant emission reduction opportunity for Canada’s electricity sector.
